We had an incredible time at our very first Little Woodland Explorers Discovery Day!
Led by Miss Lorna, Cricklade Manor Nursery’s Manager, we were introduced to Curious Cat, a brave character who loves to ask questions and explore the wonders of the world. The 7 Woodland Explorers are linked to the seven key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, helping to build a strong foundation for children’s learning.
The children had a fantastic time exploring the nursery and engaging in exciting, hands-on activities. They discovered bugs using magnifying glasses, had sensory fun with the water tray, and even got sandy while digging into the big outdoor sandpit. A highlight was getting to stroke the nursery’s friendly chickens! To top it all off, we enjoyed specially baked cat-shaped cookies, made just for us by the talented chefs at Chapter One.
