Cricklade Manor Nursery buzzed with excitement as children attended the third event in our Little Woodland Explorer Discovery Day series. This time, the spotlight was on Friendly Frog, our cheerful friend who helps children explore personal, social, and emotional development—a key element of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Led by our amazing reception teacher, Mrs. O’Dell, the morning was packed with sensory activities, fun, and discovery.
As families arrived, the little ones couldn’t wait to dive into the fun. Familiar and new faces came together, creating a warm and inclusive environment that embodied Friendly Frog’s core values.
Guided by Mrs. O’Dell’s gentle encouragement, lavender playdough helped soothe nerves and set the tone for a day of mindful exploration. An activity that encouraged not just relaxation but also focus and connection. Even our shyer attendees found their confidence and joined in the fun.
Children splashed in Friendly Frog’s Pond. This wasn’t just good messy fun; it was an opportunity for the children to practice Friendly Frog’s key skills: kindness, sharing and listening with care.
A wonderful morning, allowing both children and parents to discover the magic of Cricklade Manor Nursery and the children truly embraced the spirit of our froggy friend!
Our next Little Woodland Explorer Discovery Day is in the new year Friday, 31st January 2025, featuring Mathematical Mouse. Squeak squeak! This event will focus on puzzles, numbers, and problem-solving—perfect for curious little minds.
